Dr. Andrew Frost is a writer, curator and documentary maker. He is the art critic for Guardian Australia and a regular columnist for Art Guide Australia. His recent curatorial projects include Another Green World [2017] and Conquest of Space [2014]. He is the writer and presenter of more than dozen documentaries on Australian contemporary art for ABC1 including The Art Life [2007 & 2009] The A-Z of Contemporary Art [2013]. He is the writer, co-producer and director of the documentaries My Space Program: The Art of Peter Hennessey [2016] and The Grand Mistake: A Portrait of McLean Edwards [2017].
I’m interested in alternate histories and possible futures, the connections between a variety of seemingly disperate art practices, artists and their places in the world. My work across a variety of media, including documentaries, curatorial projects, art criticism and other writing, are connected by these interests.
