Here Cementazilla can be seen threatening/admiring The Presbytery.[/caption] Local artist Terry O'Sullivan has created this little monster in his shed as a contribution and a gesture of welcome the Cementa festavaliers that will inundate Kandos very very soon.  At once cute and threatening, it is the perfect combination of rabbit scull and paper mache, decorated with cement. Embodying the marriage of mortality and child's play, the work cleverly inverts the use of cement from a structural to a decorative material.  Terry refuses to call it a sculpture.  I let him know that in that situation, we call the thing an installation.  Cementa organiser's welcome the little creature and are currently seeking a shop window on Angus Ave from which it can glare threateningly / smile warmly on the festival from which it takes its name.
