Are you an artist who lives and works in the regions of Port Macquarie, Orange or Dubbo? This could be your lucky day!

Cementa Inc. is pleased to announce our partnerships with Glasshouse Regional Gallery, Orange Regional Gallery, and Western Plains Cultural Centre to support artists who reside in each of their respective local government areas to participate in Cementa24 and undertake a residency at Kandos in the lead up to the festival taking place on Wiradjuri Country in Kandos from 19-22 September 2024.

Artists selected for Cementa are offered residencies in Kandos of up to two weeks, to conceive work that relates to the social, cultural, environmental or historical context of the town and its regional situation. The residency gives artists an opportunity to meet and engage with our community and involve them in projects when and where possible.

We are asking artists from all stages of career and practice from each of these regions to submit proposals for Cementa24. We are interested in proposals that demonstrate a capacity to speculate on how you would respond to Kandos as your project developed.

DEADLINE: September 11, 2023
