Radical Fields
Radical Fields develops artist-led projects that emerge through dialogue with people and place. Working across installation, performance, land art and participatory events, the curatorial team creates situations where contemporary art intersects with everyday activities, local knowledge and shared experience. Often situated in regional contexts, these works begin with a strong artistic framework while remaining open to influence from the communities and environments in which they occur. Radical Fields main focus is on projects that unfold through time — festivals, gatherings and site-specific actions — where artists lead the process while allowing new ideas, relationships and perspectives to shape the outcome.

For a limited time only! The outsider/interstate artists of Radical Fields have parachuted into Paul’s Paddock, Kandos to abbreviate the T&Cs. Open throughout Cementa26, Paradactic; or: Yak Yak Yak, Art Attack draws on the legacies of land and participatory art to interrogate ideas of FIFO creative labour, socially engaged artistic practice and the insider/outside artist. Embark on a regional dérive along misguided paths, experiencing a repertoire of didactic distraction: from artist bombast, public-art propaganda, fake discourses and shoddy concepts to off-tangent philosophy. A temporary situation(ism) where spectators become participants and engagement becomes the medium.
