Amy Jane Parker’s practice combines research-led enquiry with material experimentation in installation and sculpture, often working in the kiln with glass and ceramics. Driven by the question of how sentiment becomes sediment, her work examines how affect and matter press against and shape one another. She is interested in how worlds are made and unmade through processes of care (and its absence), labour, and relation, and how these dynamics register in material form.
Amy Parker works across sculpture and installation, using research-led kiln-based processes to explore how material relations shape worlds made and unmade.
