Jessie makes live performance work that collides choreography and spatial design. Her practice embraces humour, low-culture, and the theatrical frame, as vehicles of the profound.

Jessie seeks the disruptions of the queer lens to offer a restorative ‘glitch’ in our collective ways of being. She seeks performance languages that are both challenging and anti-elitist. Her practice welcomes people as they are, while summoning ostranenie (making the familiar strange), in order to glimpse the world anew.
