Debbie Taylor-Worley & Sophie Worley

Debbie Taylor-Worley is a Gamilaraay artist, educator and curator. Her practice includes working with clay, earth and textiles, mostly created on Country, responding to place and story. A graduate of Griffith University’s Bachelor of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art,  and lecturer within the degree, she was conferred a Doctor of Visual Art in 2023. Sophie Taylor is a Gamilaraay artist with an extensive background as a multi-disciplinary creator. Taylor works with ceramic sculpture, mixed-media painting, and facilitates interactive, expressive art workshops for children and adults. Branching into costume, stage and set design, Taylor uses art as a powerful tool for self-expression.
